PALFINGER Marine is seeking a Marine Service Technician based in Langely, BC, who thrives in hands-on, technical environments and takes pride in keeping critical equipment operating safely and reliably. In this role, you’ll work directly with PALFINGER cranes, lifeboats, and life-saving equipment—supporting customers through inspections, commissioning, repairs, and global service missions. You’ll be trusted as a technical problem-solver and brand representative in the field. Your Responsibilities

Perform service, testing, commissioning, and annual/5-year inspections on lifeboats, davits, winches, and Palfinger cranes worldwide.
Diagnose, repair, overhaul, and maintain hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems using OEM parts and specifications.
Conduct Safe Job Analyses and complete accurate service documentation, reports, and required paperwork.
Communicate clearly with the Service Coordinator, Service Manager, and customers regarding job progress and findings.
Test and verify equipment performance after service or repair to ensure safety, compliance, and operational integrity.

Your Qualifications

Technical background with hands-on experience in hydraulics, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Marine or offshore industry experience preferred, with exposure to cranes or life-saving equipment.
Prior experience in service engineering, maintenance, or field service roles.
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal teams.
Physically fit, safety-focused, and willing to travel globally as required, including working at heights and lifting heavy equipment.
