Shop Foreman

PALFINGER is searching for a Shop Foreman for our Tiffin, Ohio location. Our address is 4151 OH-18, Tiffin, OH 44883. This position reports to the Operations Manager.

Your Responsibilities

 

  • Lead and oversee daily Production Department operations, prioritizing workflow, resources, and team performance to meet production targets and customer demand.
  • Enforce a safety-first culture by ensuring compliance with all safety policies, conducting inspections, and proactively addressing risks.
  • Manage end-to-end upfitting operations for crane equipment, including fabrication, welding, assembly, wiring, programming, and final production processes.
  • Drive quality and efficiency by inspecting and testing products, ensuring material flow, and implementing process improvements to reduce cost and enhance productivity.
  • Develop and manage the workforce through training, coaching, communication, performance management, and maintaining accurate timekeeping and attendance records.

Your Qualifications

 

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred, with 7–10 years of manufacturing experience including 2–3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards, including the ability to read and interpret MSDS documentation.
  • Ability to manage production schedules, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and interpret drawings, BOMs, and technical documents.
  • Proven organizational and leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively, complete accurate reports, and resolve conflicts.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy, productivity, and flexibility to meet demanding production schedules.
