At PALFINGER, we are a global leader in hydraulic engineering and innovative lifting solutions, and we are looking for a Spare Parts Purchaser to join our PALFINGER North America team. Based in our new spare parts hub in Huntley, IL, this role will manage procurement, vendor coordination, and inventory to keep our operations running smoothly. Your Responsibilities:
- Drive materials availability by running MRP in SAP ECC, translating demand into timely and accurate purchase orders.
- Act as a key liaison with suppliers- resolving order discrepancies and aligning on pricing, quantities and lead times.
- Take ownership of inbound performance by analyzing late orders, identifying root causes and partnering with vendors and internal teams to keep supply on track.
- Build strong supplier relationships to negotiate competitive pricing and improve lead times and overall service levels.
- Manage the seamless flow of materials between SAP ECC and S/4HANA by creating and coordinating purchase and sales orders based on demand.
- Optimize inventory and delivery performance by aligning stock levels, lead times and freight methods with customer needs and business goals.
Your Qualifications:
- Five (5) years experience in supply chain planning or a related field with a strong understanding of procurement and inventory management.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with additional certification or coursework in supply chain, logistics or related discipline a plus.
- Demonstrate a solid knowledge of procurement processes, supplier coordination and material management best practices.
- Customer-first mindset- delivering timely and effective solutions that support both internal teams and external customers.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) to analyze data, communicate insights and support daily operations.
- SAP (preferred) or similar ERP systems to manage purchasing, inventory and supply chain activities efficiently.
