We are currently looking for a System Simulation Engineer – Product Line Loader Cranes (f/m/d). As part of the Architecture and Virtual Engineering team, you will contribute to defining and governing the system architecture for PALFINGER Loader Cranes. The team plays a key role in bridging the gap between conceptual system engineering and practical product development, with the goal of enabling component re-use, reducing development time, and driving digital engineering methods for future crane generations.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain simulation models of loader crane systems using MBSE/MBD methods, tools, and standards with focus on hydraulic and mechatronic behaviour
  • Support innovation and virtual validation of loader cranes during the product development process
  • Perform system analysis using simulation and measurement data to improve model accuracy
  • Collaborate with cross disciplinary engineering teams to support product development
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and reuse of simulation models, methods, and workflows

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completed technical or scientific Master’s degree with focus on modelling and simulation of technical systems
  • Several years of experience in model based development and simulation of technical systems like cranes
  • Practical experience in simulation or virtual testing, ideally with hydraulic systems
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, Simscape or comparable simulation tools
  • Solid technical understanding across mechanics, hydraulics, electronics, and software domains
  • Analytical and structured working style as well as problem solving capability in technical contexts, fluent in German and English skills desirable, spoken and written

Curious about this position or want to learn more? Reach out. Minimum yearly gross salary according to Austrian metal industry collective agreement is EUR 53.241,02 based on full-time employment. According to experience and qualification, we offer a market-conform overpayment.
